Outdoor Photography Workshops with Maurice Fitzgerald, Photographer

You have your new digital camera, and you may have already taken a photography course or two. Now you want technical and creative instruction out in the field.

Get the tips. Try new techniques. Play with lighting. Capture striking images in locations such as downtown St. John’s, the Battery, Fort Amherst and Cape Spear. Maurice will show you how to use all that gear you have and introduce you to gear you don’t have but wish you did. Experiment with time exposures, close up/macro photography, architectural photography and low light/night opportunities. Maurice will also give you the creative tips you need to improve image composition.

Bring along your Digital SLR camera and your understanding of the basics: aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings.

Workshops will run 5 hours. Wear sneakers or comfortable walking shoes, as some degree of walking will be over uneven terrain. Bottled water will be provided. If you think you’ll need a snack please do bring one along.
