Where is Newfoundland & Labrador?
The Canadian province of Newfoundland & Labrador has two distinct parts; the island of Newfoundland at the mouth of the
St. Lawrence River, in the Atlantic Ocean, and Labrador, the mainland peninsula of the province. Size-wise we are almost double the size of Great Britain and just about the same size as California.
Where is St. John’s?
St. John’s, the capital city of Newfoundland and Labrador, is located on the far eastern tip of Newfoundland’s Avalon Peninsula. It’s touted as the oldest city in North America. Your tour starts here.

How should I dress?
Dress comfortably for walking. The weather can change very quickly out here so we suggest dressing in layers. Comfortable, low-heeled walking shoes, sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended.
Where will the tour take me?
Locals and tourists will agree that Signal Hill and Cape Spear [both designated National Historic Sites] are absolute must-sees. You will capture magnificent landscape photographs of both. Then it’s on to Petty Harbour, one of North America’s oldest fishing villages, where close-up photography gets really exciting. Moreover, experience the unique architecture of downtown St. John’s where your photographs will portray personality as you capture the brilliant colors of “Jelly Bean Row”.
Will there be much walking required?
The tour does require some degree of walking, with the activity level considered Easy to Moderate. Some areas have steps and/or inclines while others have uneven ground and the possibility of small shrubs and or rocks to manoeuvre around.
What should I bring?
While not compulsory to enjoy the tour, we do recommend you bring your camera along. Moe is a pro and he will help you get that perfect shot and provide you with helpful tips that you can use on this and every future venture or voyage you take.
Tour duration is approximately 3.5 hours. Cold bottled water is offered free of charge during the tour. If you wish, you can bring along a small snack for yourself if you feel so inclined.
